How Our Core Rehab Program Helped Claire
Our Core Rehab program is designed for all postpartum Mothers to help to rebuild strength post-birth, no matter if that's weeks, months or years post the birth of her baby.
Our core rehab program focuses on strengthening and stabilizing the core muscles. When you do this you will to improve posture, reduce back pain, and enhance overall physical function.
Yes, going to a specific class in-studio is amazing, but the truth is, actually getting to the class is the hardest part!
So many mothers, including myself when my babies were newborns, find it so hard to get out of the house. I find it hard now and my boys are much older!
I wanted to share with you a gorgeous email from one of our grateful PregActive Mamas for her love of our Core Rehab program and how it helped her.
This is what Claire had to say:
"I've been meaning to email for ages to say thank you so much for letting me continue on with Pregactive videos, I'm so grateful. I loved the gradual increase in exercise intensity, and I found the pelvic floor videos incredibly helpful!
A bit of a random one but I just found them a lot more effective than an app I had been using before so I had a lot more motivation to do them?! I'm not really sure why,
I think it was the variety and the different focus for each stage so it wasn't repetitive and I actually felt like I was making progress instead of going backwards. I think, as well, a lot of the pelvic floor apps are just timers, so it's nice to have a friendly face encouraging you when you're struggling!
I love the format of the updated site too.
I was actually delighted to see everything combined in one place for pre and post-pregnancy! :) My one huge disappointment (and I felt this very early on to be honest) was that I hadn't found you sooner.
I would have loved to have been doing PregActive programmes while pregnant but I didn't know it existed! I was big into fitness videos before getting pregnant but I found the exhaustion completely debilitating (even more so than after the baby was born which is crazy!)
And I let my exercise slide because of that, but I feel like if I'd found PregActive it would have motivated me to do even just stretching each day because then I would have known what was safe to do.
I'm gutted I didn't have it then but this does mean if we do have another baby I'll know about it next time and will sign up for it!
I loved checking off the videos each step at a time because it felt like such amazing progress. It was really motivating, and also encouraging, to accept our limits as post-pregnancy mums.
There's such an emphasis on us bouncing back after giving birth but I really love your videos and whole ethos, and accepting that these things take time and that we shouldn't really listen to anyone except our own bodies.
We Need to recover after Childbirth
We need recovery time for sure and there's so much outside pressure to fit into jeans again and everything. Whereas your programmes really show that the best way back is at our own pace. We need to give ourselves that time with everything we put ourselves through.
Thanks for being so encouraging and for being such a positive energy. It's definitely needed, especially on the really tough days with a newborn!
