Meet Lauren Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist
We love introducing you to our incredible graduates! Here's yet another PregActive Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist, meet Lauren!
What is your current profession and where are you based?
I am a personal trainer at a women's personal training studio founded by my beautiful mum, Evexia Wellness for Women.
We are based on the Central Coast, New South Wales. Together we coach women through functional strength training.
Why is helping pregnant and postpartum women so important to you?
I currently coach women aged 20 to 40 in strength training to help them achieve their personal goals.
As many of these women begin their journey into motherhood and have loads of questions about what is safe for them to be doing during this new chapter.
I'm passionate about continuing to support them through safe and effective exercise at every stage - from pre pregnancy to pregnancy to postpartum and beyond.
What did you enjoy most about the PregActive Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Course?
It was very easy to follow and soak up all the information as it flowed really well into each module. I loved all of the breathing techniques through each exercise.
What do you plan to do now you are a Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist?
I plan to support my clients during their new journeys into pregnancy and motherhood safely and confidently, so they have a safe and enjoyable place to come achieve exercise.
What would you say to a newly pregnant Mama-to-be who is nervous about starting exercise?
The wonderful thing is that safe, guided movement will actually support your body through pregnancy. Always start by listening to your body, moving mindfully and focusing on what feels right for you and baby.
What supportive words would you say to a new postpartum Mother to help her get started with her exercise?
The goal right now is healing, reconnecting and rebuilding from the inside out. Every step counts, and every little bit of movement is a win for your body and mind.
Listen to your body, it has just gone through an incredible thing.
